Homeline Homeline

What is Homeline?

Homeline is a letting scheme that lets you choose where you would like to live. Homes that are available are advertised every week and you can look for your own home using this website or the Homeline property freesheet.

We advertise council homes and some homes owned by housing associations and private landlords. You can let us know what homes you are interested in by bidding for them. Homeline gives you a better idea of what homes are available in the areas you want to live in.

Who can use Homeline?
• Council tenants who want to move to another property
• Customers who have been accepted onto Stoke-on- Trent City Council’s Housing Register

The Homeline Scheme has five steps for you to follow:

Step One – Membership
You are already a member of the Homeline scheme if you are a council tenant who is on the ‘transfer list’ or if you are on the Council’s Housing Register.

The quickest way to register is to ring Stoke on Call and register over the phone. You can contact Stoke on Call by ringing 01782 232126 Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm, Saturday 9am - 1pm and Sunday 10am - 2pm.

Step Two – Registration
Once you have applied and been accepted onto the Housing Register we will let you know your own personal reference number, the band you have been placed into and the priority date that you have been given.

Step Three – Choosing
Available homes are advertised on the Homeline website and freesheet every Tuesday, you must place your bids by midnight on the following Sunday.

Step Four – The Offer
If your bid is at the top of the list we will contact you and arrange for you to see the home. If the home is subject to a multiple viewing the top three customers will be contacted.

Step Five – Feedback
We will publish feedback information, it will tell you how many people bid for each home, as well as the band and registration date of the successful bidder.

Our Housing Allocation Policy
The Housing Solutions Team will assess the housing need of all qualifying customers who wish to be rehoused; this includes new customers and existing council tenants. Once your housing need has been assessed as per our Housing Allocation Policy you will be placed into one of four bands:
 Band 1 "Must find a home"
 Band 2 "Must move soon"
 Band 3 "Need to move"
 Band 4 "Want to move"
